(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.secondeguerremondiale.public.lu\/fr\/musees\/occupation-resistance-enrolement-force\/hollerich.html#\">http:\/\/www.secondeguerremondiale.public.lu\/fr\/musees\/occupation-resistance-enrolement-force\/hollerich.html#<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-106\" src=\"http:\/\/layersoftime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/DSC01268.jpg\" alt=\"DSC01268\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" srcset=\"https:\/\/layersoftime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/DSC01268.jpg 600w, https:\/\/layersoftime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/DSC01268-267x400.jpg 267w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><br \/>\nI took some pictures, read the explanations, learned some facts, got angry at all the Nazi propaganda and wondered how people dealt with\u00a0it then \u00a0&#8230; \u00a0The only way to survive emotionally must have been to put yourself in danger physically: to resist.<\/p>\n<p>I was walking throught this exhibit when suddenly a piece of typed paper caught my attention, in fact it was the word &#8220;Reibnitz&#8221;, that caught my eye &#8230; &#8220;That\u00b4s where my Dad and my grandparents were&#8221; I thought &#8230;. and had a closer look &#8230;<br \/>\nAnd the I saw their names on the piece of paper.\u00a0Suddenly everything became horribly real and I was overwhelmed by a mixture of feelings I find hard to name.<br \/>\nAnger, sadness, incredulitiy, ressentment, and: fear.<br \/>\nFear that we are living in a political climate in which too many people are willing to take the risk to fall back into such dark dark times &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This is the paper I saw in the exhibition:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-107\" src=\"http:\/\/layersoftime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_5392.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5392\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" srcset=\"https:\/\/layersoftime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_5392.jpg 750w, https:\/\/layersoftime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_5392-300x400.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It turned out that it wasn\u00b4t the only one about my Grandparents.<br \/>\nMore on all this in the next post.<\/p>\n<p>And a very interesting article by Rebecca Solnit in the Guardian about protest and resistance :<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2017\/mar\/13\/protest-persist-hope-trump-activism-anti-nuclear-movement?CMP=fb_gu\">https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2017\/mar\/13\/protest-persist-hope-trump-activism-anti-nuclear-movement?CMP=fb_gu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Something I should have done ages ago, but somehow never managed to fit into my very full Luxembourg &#8211; time &#8211; schedules: I went to visit the small museum about the deporation in Hollerich.
